Benefits of calculating your ISA interest

The ISA calculator allows you to look at how much growth you will see with different levels of investment, interest and lengths of savings terms.

This means you can work out how much you are likely to earn based on how much you can afford to save or you can see out how much you will need to save to hit a specific target.

The calculator makes it easy to compare how different ISAs will match your savings goals, by looking at how the different interest rates offered by various ISAs will impact the growth of your savings.

What you need to know when using our ISA calculator

The interest rates suggested for your ISA savings with this calculator are based on several assumptions, so should be taken as estimates only.

This figures offered by our ISA calculator assume:

  • You will deposit money into your account on a regular basis
  • There will be no withdrawals made
  • The market will stay broadly steady
  • Interest rates will remain productive
  • There will be no reduction in the ISA tax-free savings allowance during the term of your account

How much can I pay into an ISA?

21st March 2019

Each tax year, there's a limit set by the government to the amount you can save and invest in ISAs: your “annual ISA allowance”. The allowances are intended to reward savers and encourage us to invest more to support our future retirements, without creating a tax haven that can be taken advantage of by very wealthy individuals who just want to avoid paying tax.

I found the way the different options are presented very clear - much more useful than some other comparison sites. I sent it to my daughter as well.
