Managing Director and Chief Architect, Tom is a highly experienced and accomplished all rounder with a wide portfolio of Strategic Consultancy, System Architecture, Database Modeling, Business Analysis, Consultancy, Management and hands-on Technical skills. He is driven to ensure that clients get the right systems for the business needs and which then give a return on investment.

Tom achieves this using his extensive experience of different vertical markets, technology and practical hands on experience of projects:

  • Broad understanding of wide range of industries including publishing, insurance, construction, healthcare, and finance with companies ranging from small PLCs up to FTSE 100 clients.
  • Vast experience of Internet, Client Server, Component and Service Oriented Architectures, for small to multi-national businesses.
  • Focus on ensuring the translation of business requirements into pragmatic, practical technical solutions.
  • Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET, as well as being a charter member of the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer programme with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft .Net, SQLServer and Oracle.

Tom has been the Architect and Designer of many major projects that Information Systems have successfully delivered, many of which have been running for years:

  • Copper Cable Company - CRM and Warehouse management solution (06/07)
  • Marketforce - Replacement of core orders and invoicing system for theUK's largest magazine distributor, with many interfacing systems, and complex workflow (03 - 07)
  • SPG Media - business critical workflow, orders, invoicing and production management, sales and commissions application, which is used to run the entire business (01/05)
  • Ladbrokes - first internet betting site - bet.co.uk (00/01)
  • NOP - Automotive market survey consolidation application (99/00)
  • Lexis-Nexis - Document workflow solution which runs 24x7, replacing mainframe processing with array of networked PCs. (98/00)
  • Bowker-Saur - internet portal for Business to Business Publications (96/97)
  • Denplan - Patient Administration System (95/96)
  • Wimpey Homes - Various business and finance systems (94-01, 04)
  • Honda - Training Administration System (93/94)
  • National Grid - Transformer Modelling Application (91/95)

Tom sees his major role as ensuring that best practice is put into place by using methodologies appropriate to the needs of the different projects, and then applied across clients projects managed either by the client or internally.
