An exciting range of products in the making, capitalising on fifteen years development experience

One of the most important decision Information Systems has taken this year was to take advantage of our knowledge base and long experience and begin to develop products that can have a wide commercial application. Information Systems has a great record of developing products for its clients. The established model for this development work has always been an agreed fee basis where the client initiated the project and carried the development risk.

"Our bespoke development has all been carried out on a client fee basis," says Product Director Dr Mike Hickey, "but for our new generation product development, Information Systems have already created a joint venture model that allows the higher risks (and potentially higher rewards) to be shared out more equitably between the client/partner who has critical sector expertise and ourselves who have highly focussed technical expertise".

The first to market under the new business model is COMPASS-IP, a work assessment tool based on Pocket PC. "COMPASS-IP is set to revolutionise the way that work assessment is carried out in large construction projects" says Civil Engineer Vassos Crysostomou, who is client/partner for the project.
